The Event Coordinator II role is a dynamic and integral position within Workplace Hospitality and Aramark’s catering operations. This position is responsible for the comprehensive supervision and coordination of catering events ranging in size and complexity, occurring in both central and satellite locations. The coordinator ensures all events adhere strictly to established catering brand standards and company initiatives, maintaining high-quality service and safety standards consistently.

In this role, the Event Coordinator II takes accountability for fostering a safety-first work culture that emphasizes injury prevention for all personnel. Key responsibilities include the direct supervision of catering staff and operational logistics such as organizing rental equipment, overseeing food and beverage setup, service execution, and post-event breakdown. This position involves active engagement in event booking processes, menu item selection, cost analysis, and pricing strategies as necessitated by the scope of each event.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting
  • Prior experience with booking of events
  • Ability to supervise staff and coordinate complex catering operations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Directly supervises catering operations including coordination of staff and rental equipment, set-up, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying size and complexity
  • Booking events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing as needed
  • Assists with hiring, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Coordinates activities with other internal departments
  • Participates in management team meetings
  • Collaborate with vendors and key service users within client organization
  • Facilitate external customer relations
