Job Requirements

  • 3 years experience in relevant field
  • Proven experience as an events planner or organizer
  • Professional presence in dealing with people internally and in the community
  • Excellent time management, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and make appropriate decisions
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Manage coordination of events from concept to on-site implementation
  • Schedule and attend all event planning meetings with internal team
  • Work with Event Manager on-site during events to ensure proper flow and manage details
  • Manage staff and vendors at chosen event site to coordinate details
  • Review event invoices for accuracy and acquire approval for payment
  • Conduct event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved
  • Maintain records of all event aspects including budget summary
  • Collaborate with event stakeholders and key decision-makers to identify and establish event objectives, needs, and communication guidelines
  • Provide coordination to ensure successful real-time execution during each event including facilities, food, materials, signage, staff direction, and set-up
