These events include Community Events that are open to the public and Private Events where clients rent the venue for their celebrations or gatherings. The role focuses on facilitating smooth event operations, from setup and vendor coordination to guest relations and administrative support. This is a seasonal, hourly, non-exempt position, requiring flexible availability that includes evenings, weekends, and minor holidays to accommodate event schedules.

Job Requirements
- Completed or pursuing a Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in special events, planning and execution or a related field
- Experience with sales preferred
- Manual dexterity to operate office machinery such as personal computer, telephone, copier
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for event set-up and tear-down
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and minor holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist the Events team with the operation of both private and community events on a scaling level of responsibility
- Coordinate with Grounds, Catering, and clients as directed by the Events Manager, preparing venues with decor, equipment, and vendor load-in assistance
- Monitor event execution, address areas of improvement, and facilitate event shutdown
- Provide outstanding service to guests throughout the entire event process
- Meet with potential clients and assist staff with facility tours
- Work with Education to secure live animal visits for special events
- Assist with administrative and organizational work as requested by the Events team
