Job Description

Apartment Life is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents living in apartment communities. By partnering with corporate, government, and nonprofit entities, Apartment Life aims to provide social, educational, and wellness programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each community it serves. Their mission centers around fostering stability, engagement, and enrichment through thoughtfully planned events and services that connect residents with valuable resources and meaningful experiences.

As a part-time, paid role, the Events And Ministry Coordinator (internally titled Coordinator of Resident Services) plays a vital role in supporting one community in Roseville, CA. This position requires dedication to planning, organizing, and executing the Apartment Life service plan through diverse resident-centered programming. The coordinator will collaborate closely with an Apartment Life supervisor to create monthly schedules that serve the community's needs through events such as resident gatherings, workshops, classes for adults and families, and resource-sharing initiatives.

The coordinator is responsible for hosting 1-2 events each month designed to promote social engagement, wellness, health, enrichment, and overall stability for residents. By maintaining and updating a list of helpful resources such as rent and food assistance programs, the coordinator acts as a vital bridge between residents and the services available to them. This role requires proactive outreach, connecting residents with specific needs to local support systems and partnering with community businesses to provide holistic activities that enhance the resident experience.

Effective communication with onsite staff and the Apartment Life supervisor is critical, as is regular reporting on activity and impact. The coordinator will meet weekly with their supervisor to review program progress and goals and submit monthly reports summarizing events and outcomes. This part-time position involves a commitment of 8 hours per week, mostly during evenings and weekends, to ensure maximum resident participation and program effectiveness.

The role demands excellent listening and communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to accomplish tasks such as event shopping and vendor coordination. Physical requirements include the ability to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds. Preferred qualifications include bilingual Spanish skills, experience serving at-risk populations, prior event planning experience, budget management knowledge, and a network of volunteers or community partners. This opportunity offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to a vibrant community initiative, making a positive impact on residents’ lives through targeted, well-executed programming.
