The Event Support Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the arrangement and assembly of event equipment such as tables, chairs, tents, stages, barricades, and signage. They play a crucial role in ensuring event layouts are implemented according to detailed diagrams or supervisor instructions, maintaining cleanliness and organization before, during, and after events, and delivering on-site support to facilitate smooth operations. Safety is a key focus, requiring adherence to proper lifting techniques and use of protective equipment. Additionally, the assistant will interact professionally and courteously with the public, event participants, vendors, volunteers, and other staff members, contributing to a positive and welcoming event environment.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy an active, collaborative workplace, thrive in fast-paced environments, and take pride in helping events run seamlessly. Offering hourly pay from $18.00 to $20.00, this role also provides valuable perks including access to the Employee Assistance Program, discounts on city recreation programs, free CPR training opportunities for eligible employees, and pathways for ongoing involvement in seasonal and recreational programming.
