Job Description
Alamodome is a premier multi-purpose venue located in San Antonio, Texas, hosting a wide variety of events including sports, concerts, conventions, and community gatherings. The Event Supervisor role at Alamodome is a part-time position offering $17.00 per hour. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operational functioning of events by leading and managing the event cleaning staff during operational shifts. The Event Supervisor directly reports to the Site Manager and is entrusted with several administrative, supervisory, and operational responsibilities to guarantee the facility’s cleanliness and service quality meet established standards. The position requires arriving early to prepare for the event shift, organizing labor, materials, and equipment necessary to execute cleaning operations efficiently. The supervisor will assign team leaders for equipment setup, ensure adequate staffing levels, inspect personnel for compliance with appearance standards, and continuously monitor service and cleanliness during events to address any issues promptly.
In addition to day-to-day supervisory duties, the Event Supervisor is responsible for scheduling staff for upcoming events, maintaining detailed operational records such as time cards, safety reports, and labor logs, and providing necessary training on company and client policies. They play a key role in human resource functions including assisting with hiring, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and payroll concerns in coordination with the Office Assistant and Site Manager. This position requires active participation in event planning meetings and a proactive approach to identifying and reporting maintenance, safety concerns, or incidents immediately. Furthermore, the Event Supervisor supports the overall mission of delivering first-class event experiences by ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility environment.
The ideal candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, and working in varying environmental conditions like heat, cold, or damp locations. Strong organizational skills, reliability in transportation, and the ability to follow instructions are essential for success in this role. Experience in janitorial services or event supervision is advantageous, and bilingual skills in Spanish and English are viewed positively, enhancing communication with a diverse staff. - Janitor/cleaning experience is a plus

Job Duties
- Organize, plan, schedule and execute cleaning operations for event shift
- Report to site at least one hour prior to staff report time
- Ensure all supplies, equipment and labor are available to complete assigned tasks
- Assign team leaders to set-up equipment prior to start time and ensure equipment is properly stored at end of shift
- Check in event staff and ensure staffing meets required level
- Inspect staff prior to start time to assure compliance with appearance standards
- Deploy event staff to properly staff and maintain event areas in clean and safe condition
- Direct event staff and respond to facility and guest needs
- Constantly walk facility during events to inspect cleaning staff and service meets performance, quality and safety standards
- Check out event staff at end of shift
- Stay on site until relieved by post event manager
- Schedule event staff for upcoming events and communicate work schedules
- Maintain records including staff deployment form, sign-in/sign-out forms, equipment allocation, labor reports, time cards, inspection reports, team schedules and safety reports
- Provide employee training and communicate company/client policies
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Address human resources concerns including assisting with hiring, interviewing, evaluations, disciplinary actions and payroll
- Attend event planning meetings as directed
- Report maintenance and safety concerns immediately
- Report all accidents, injuries or incidents immediately
- Complete other duties as assigned by site manager
