Motorola Solutions is a leading global provider of innovative communication technologies and services that empower public safety and enterprise customers to build safer cities and thriving communities. Renowned for its commitment to innovation and excellence, the company develops mission-critical communication solutions that enhance efficiency and safety across various sectors, including government public safety agencies and commercial enterprises. With a rich history of technological advancement and a strong reputation for reliability, Motorola Solutions is a trusted partner for organizations seeking robust and scalable communication platforms. As a company dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, Motorola Solutions fosters a collaborative and dynamic work environment where employees are encouraged to grow and succeed while making a positive impact on society.
The North America regional events team at Motorola Solutions is seeking an energetic, experienced, and highly organized Event Specialist to join their marketing organization. This full-time role offers a target base salary range of $73,000 to $79,000 USD and involves comprehensive event management responsibilities aimed at supporting strategic sales objectives and enhancing brand presence. The Event Specialist will play a critical role in designing and delivering high-impact events and experiences, including advisory boards, trade shows, hosted conferences, and targeted networking and hospitality activations. Reporting within the marketing structure, this position demands end-to-end project management of diverse events varying in scale, focusing primarily on Tier 3 and Tier 4 North American trade shows and regional roadshows.
Key responsibilities include managing the entire event lifecycle, from initial strategy development and RFP creation to contract negotiation, onsite execution, post-show budget reconciliation, and KPI reporting. The role requires handling a high-volume event calendar, securing booth or stand spaces, ordering show services, and coordinating the inventory and deployment of branded promotional materials. The Event Specialist is tasked with developing, implementing, and tracking detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and deliverables. Additionally, the position demands negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with venues, production houses, and third-party agencies, ensuring maximum return on investment.
This position requires strong collaboration with various key stakeholders across vertical marketing, channel marketing, product groups, field sales, and external suppliers. The Event Specialist will also lead planning sessions and maintain productive relationships to deliver seamless event execution. A critical part of the role involves planning and executing localized regional roadshows by managing venue sourcing, catering, and onsite audiovisual logistics in collaboration with Field Marketing and Regional Sales teams.
The Event Specialist must be confident in presenting event strategies, planning updates, and post-event performance analytics to leadership and C-level executives. Approximately 25% travel is expected to oversee event operations onsite, ensuring smooth execution, proactive problem-solving of complex logistical issues, and strong alignment with sales goals and customer satisfaction. This role demands a high level of initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, making it ideal for a professional passionate about event management with a structured and process-oriented approach.
Motorola Solutions values transparency and equity in compensation, offering benefits that include incentive bonus plans, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401K with company match, paid holidays and generous time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and paid parental and family leave. The company’s commitment to equal opportunity employment ensures fair consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic, creating an inclusive workplace where all employees can succeed and contribute to meaningful projects.
