Job Description
Kessler Hospitality is renowned for its collection of artistically inspired boutique hotels that combine unique design, luxurious accommodations, and an enriching atmosphere with intuitive, personalized service. With a presence spanning Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, each Kessler property is a masterpiece that reflects the local artistic, musical, and cultural landscape. These hotels are designed to inspire and create unforgettable experiences, offering guests a sophisticated yet approachable blend of redefined Bohemian luxury. From vibrant downtown icons to premier luxury lodges and elite ski destinations, Kessler Hospitality’s portfolio delivers bold, original hotels for the discerning individualist traveler. The company’s pioneering spirit was demonstrated as a founding member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, introducing seven distinct, style-forward hotels under this prestigious brand.
Among Kessler Hospitality’s notable properties is the Grand Bohemian Lodge in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Located prominently on the picturesque falls of the Reedy River, this AAA Four Diamond boutique lodge offers a unique fusion of nature’s grandeur with luxurious amenities. The lodge features floor-to-ceiling windows, earth-inspired décor, beautiful balconies, and exquisite chandeliers, all curated to envelop guests in a serene and artistic environment. Dining at the lodge includes the outdoor bar and restaurant, Between the Trees, offering panoramic views of the Reedy River, while guests can also enjoy the onsite spa, art gallery, fitness center, and hiking trails—all contributing to an immersive, rejuvenating stay.
The Events Services Manager role is an integral part of this luxury environment, tasked with delivering outstanding event experiences for a diverse range of functions including room blocks, social receptions, weddings, and corporate gatherings. As the primary liaison between clients and hotel operations, this position ensures seamless event execution and maintains the highest standards of service expected from a luxury boutique hotel. The Events Services Manager must skillfully coordinate logistics, communicate contracts, manage billing, and collaborate across departments including culinary, sales, and operations to create unique and customizable event experiences.
This position demands a strategic business leader capable of planning and executing events in alignment with organizational goals while fostering team engagement and accountability. The role requires an advanced level of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to remain calm and organized under pressure. Proficiency in hotel event management software such as CI/TY or Delphi is essential for managing bookings, banquet event orders, and client communications. The manager will also ensure compliance with legal and contractual agreements and uphold the company’s brand standards throughout the event life cycle.
Ideal candidates possess a minimum of two years of progressive event management experience, preferably within a luxury hotel setting. A strong foundation in food and beverage service, health regulations, and liquor laws enhances the capability to deliver flawless events. The Events Services Manager is expected to be proactive, detail-oriented, and flexible in working schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event needs.
At Kessler Hospitality, working as an Events Services Manager offers the opportunity to join a distinctive hotel company that values creativity, culture, and unparalleled guest experiences. The role is hourly compensated and centered in Greenville, SC. This position is perfect for an individual passionate about orchestrating exquisite events within a luxurious, art-inspired setting that delights guests and elevates their stay to memorable heights.
