Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant sales or hospitality experience
  • Proven ability in consultative sales approach
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely sales records
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Adherence to company appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers including those submitted through venue booking systems
  • Collaborate with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate it into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel and Encore departments to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets and accurate, updated CRM records
  • Support sales forecasting efforts and adopt all relevant SOPs and initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new products, services and emerging event technologies
