Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- strong communication skills
- ability to work irregular hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- capability to meet physical demands including standing walking lifting and use of audiovisual equipment
- familiarity with CRM software
- ability to travel between multiple hotel locations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in Encore or similar environment
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore sales process and methodology
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals timely to customers including those from encoreglobal.com and venue booking systems
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits pre-conference planning and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines into solution designs
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers venue personnel and Encore supporting functions delivering world-class service
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- Ensure all opportunities are documented accurately and updated in CRM system
- Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Learn and adopt standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new product service offerings and emerging event technology
