As an established name in the hospitality and event industry, Encore supports a wide range of events from corporate meetings to large-scale conferences, providing comprehensive audiovisual support and event technology services. The company consistently fosters a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and high performance, dedicated to employee development and customer satisfaction. Encore’s work environment involves dynamic hotel and convention center settings, where professionals engage with high-end technology and diverse client needs, adapting to varied working conditions that include irregular hours and on-call status.
The Sales Manager, Venues role at Encore is a critical position responsible for orchestrating the event sales cycle to maximize event and revenue capture within assigned customer bases, primarily focused on venues such as hotels and convention centers. This role demands a proactive, consultative approach to sales that aligns with Encore’s refined sales process and methodology. The sales manager engages with customers from the initial proposal phase through to the event execution, ensuring seamless collaboration not only with customers but also internal teams and external vendors. As part of the sales accountability function, this role requires maintaining a robust sales pipeline, accurate and timely use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system, and contributing to precise sales forecasting that supports company objectives.
Candidates will be adept at navigating the hospitality sales ecosystem, offering technical aptitude and strong communication skills. The role involves physical demands consistent with the hospitality industry, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting, with a work environment that may range from quiet to moderately noisy and exposure to outdoor elements. Encore offers competitive compensation for this role within the range of $38,558 to $50,126 annually, with additional opportunities for bonuses and incentives based on performance. This position supports the company’s core values including delivering world-class service, ownership, accountability, collaboration, and integrity.
