With nearly 30 years of experience, the company has built a reputation for crafting extraordinary menus, stunning décor, and unforgettable event experiences that set the standard for remarkable occasions throughout Colorado, including Denver, Vail, Aspen, and Colorado Springs. Catering By Design is part of Compass Group USA and is dedicated to creativity, professionalism, and passion in hospitality, serving a variety of clients from intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate and social events. The company prides itself on a collaborative and inclusive culture, where talent and innovative ideas are nurtured and where every team member plays a critical role in shaping the company’s legacy.

The Event Production Manager role at Catering By Design is key to translating visionary event designs into flawless realities. This position manages the full lifecycle of event production from contract signing through successful event completion, ensuring every detail aligns perfectly with the client's vision and company standards. The role involves building detailed execution plans, timelines, and diagrams that guide on-site teams through each step, coordinating vendors and logistics including rentals, alcohol suppliers, and entertainment. As the on-site leader for events, the production manager must exhibit strong leadership, calm crisis management, and a solutions-driven approach to maintain smooth operations during high-pressure moments. The position requires handling post-event follow-up, meetings, and billing, meticulously closing each event with professionalism. This role is ideal for experienced professionals in catering, event production, or hospitality who thrive in dynamic live event settings and are passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences.

The compensation for this hybrid position starts at a salary of $58,000 with event sales commission paid biweekly, shifting after three months to a $53,000 base plus commission. Total earning potential ranges from $70,000 to $95,000 or more annually. Additional perks include a monthly gas/car stipend, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, retirement plan options, paid parental leave, holiday time, personal leave, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts. The role requires flexibility to work weekends especially between May and October, and the ability to operate seamlessly between home, office, and various event venues in the Denver area. Catering By Design embraces diversity and inclusivity, offering equal opportunity employment and considering all qualified applicants regardless of background or disability. This opportunity is perfect for hospitality enthusiasts who bring energy, creativity, and discipline to producing world-class events that make people happy and set new standards in event execution.
