Job Description
Legends Global is recognized as the premier partner to the world’s greatest live events, venues, and brands. With an extensive network that spans 450 venues worldwide, hosting around 20,000 events annually and entertaining 165 million guests, Legends Global represents a leader in the event services industry. The company provides a fully integrated solution that encompasses a white-label approach to services including feasibility and consulting, owner’s representation, sales, partnerships, hospitality, merchandise, venue management, and content and booking of world-class live events and venues. This comprehensive portfolio allows Legends Global to keep its partners prominently positioned, delivering unparalleled experiences that meet the highest standards in live event hosting.
As a dynamic and ambitious company culture, Legends Global prides itself on respect, collaboration, bold action, and an inclusive environment where all team members can be authentic, contribute significantly, and build rewarding careers. The organization fosters a ‘winning is an everyday thing’ mindset, where success is earned collectively by the unified team. This is an ideal space for individuals motivated by challenge, teamwork, and growth.
One of the featured locations where the company operates is the Los Angeles Equestrian Center (LAEC), a notable 75-acre property nestled in Griffith Park. LAEC is dedicated to the love of horses and the equestrian community, providing boarding facilities, training arenas, and hosting a rich calendar of events from local competitions to prestigious equestrian showcases. Beyond equestrian activities, LAEC also hosts various special events that combine the charm of nature with Los Angeles’s vibrant cultural scene.
The role of the Event Porter at Legends Global, particularly at LAEC, is vital in ensuring that every event runs smoothly, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of event spaces. This position is hourly and non-exempt, offering a base pay of $26 per hour. The Event Porter is responsible for waste management tasks such as monitoring trash and recycling stations, removing and replacing liners, transporting waste to designated disposal areas, and supporting event setup and teardown operations.
This role requires a dependable and safety-conscious individual who is comfortable performing physically demanding work within a fast-paced event environment. The position involves continuous movement throughout the venue during events, responding promptly to any cleanliness concerns, including spills and trash overflows, to ensure a pleasant experience for guests. The Event Porter also assists with moving equipment, furniture, barricades, and other materials essential to the setup and breakdown of events.
The role is designed for flexibility, as it involves working various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours aligned with the event calendar. Candidates with prior experience in event operations, custodial services, facilities, or janitorial support are preferred, along with those who demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision. Effective communication and adherence to safety protocols, especially when lifting and transporting waste, are critical components of success in this position.
Overall, the Event Porter plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in supporting the seamless execution of live events, contributing directly to the high standards that make Legends Global a leader in the industry. Joining Legends Global means becoming part of a company with a robust reputation, committed to excellence, and dedicated to creating an inclusive and inspiring workplace where every team member can thrive and grow their career.
