Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Minimum four years of experience in event planning
- Experience within the hospitality or entertainment industry preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Proficiency with event management software
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of the Las Vegas event market is advantageous
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning, preferably within the hospitality or entertainment industry
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
- Knowledge of the Las Vegas hospitality and event market is a significant advantage
- A passion for creating memorable experiences
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of event planning, from initial concept development to post-event evaluation
- Collaborate with clients to define event goals, objectives, and budgets
- Develop detailed event proposals, including timelines, vendor recommendations, and logistical plans
- Source and manage relationships with vendors, including caterers, decorators, A/V providers, and entertainment
- Oversee event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled
- Develop comprehensive event schedules and ensure adherence to timelines
- Coordinate on-site event execution, managing staff, vendors, and client needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events
- Conduct post-event debriefings and prepare reports on event success and areas for improvement
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in event management and hospitality
- Develop marketing and promotional materials for events as needed
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Manage event registration and attendee communications
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience
