This role is responsible for managing both virtual and in-person events, including meetings, trainings, conferences, and social gatherings within the organization and for external audiences. The Event Planner handles all aspects of the event planning process from initial ideation to final execution. Responsibilities include venue selection, contract negotiation, catering, entertainment, transportation, decor, audio-visual equipment, and coordination of all logistical details to ensure seamless experiences for attendees. \n\nAdditionally, the Event Planner collaborates closely with internal creative teams to submit promotional material requests and oversees timely distribution of invitations or emails to meet event deadlines. Partnering with stakeholders and external vendors, this position strategically researches and presents location and format options that balance operational efficiency with memorable participant experiences within allocated budgets. The role requires strong project and process management capabilities to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. \n\nConnection offers a rewarding work environment with competitive compensation ranging from $28.85 to $36.74 per hour, depending on experience. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event planning, marketing or business
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Basic computer skills including keyboarding for data entry
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Planning, Marketing or Business with minimum 3 years related experience
  • Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry
  • Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
  • Negotiation skills with ability to secure best purchasing agreements
  • Excellent process and project management skills
  • Well versed in event planning and hospitality logistics
  • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
  • Articulate with clear and professional written and oral communication

Job Duties

  • Manages event process from start to finish
  • Facilitates and organizes event details including site selection, virtual platforms, catering, entertainment, transportation, decor, audio-visual equipment, and other logistics
  • Submits promotional material requests through the internal Creative team and ensures timely invitations and/or emails deployment
  • Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to define event objectives, budgets, and agendas
  • Strategizes location and format options to provide optimal and memorable experiences within budget
  • Assembles event assets such as registration/rooming lists, badges/name tags, artwork, and print materials
  • Attends events to ensure expectations are met and coordinates last-minute modifications
