Sodexo Live! is a recognized leader in delivering exceptional event experiences at some of the world's most prestigious venues. Known for their dedication to excellence and innovation, Sodexo Live! specializes in crafting memorable events that cater to diverse audiences, ranging from fans at major sports venues to guests at exclusive corporate functions. As a part of this dynamic company, employees are afforded the opportunity to build rewarding careers where no two days are alike, and where the passion for creating memorable experiences is deeply valued. Sodexo Live! emphasizes team collaboration, creativity, and a client-focused approach to event management, making it a premier choice for event professionals seeking to thrive in a fast-paced and vibrant environment.

The position of Event Planner at Sodexo Live! is based at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Alexandria, VA, a federal agency responsible for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks. The USPTO plays a crucial role in intellectual property policy, advising the highest levels of government on protection and enforcement matters. Here, the Event Planner will be entrusted with planning, coordinating, and executing an array of in-person, hybrid, and virtual meetings and conferences within the designated conference center. Reporting to the General Manager and Director of Operations, and working closely with technical teams and other partners, the Event Planner’s role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction and optimum event execution.

This role demands a high level of organization and attention to detail in managing the logistics of events, including setting up room layouts, coordinating audiovisual requirements, and handling facility and security arrangements. The Event Planner will act as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring clear communication to define objectives and deliver events that not only meet but exceed expectations. Additionally, the position requires hands-on support for event setup and teardown, demonstrating commitment from start to finish. This job offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 annually, signaling Sodexo Live!'s investment in skilled individuals dedicated to elevating event experiences.

The Event Planner at Sodexo Live! must be adept at juggling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and event quality. Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset are essential, as the planner will coordinate across various teams and stakeholders to deliver seamless event execution. Knowledge of event management systems, diagramming software, and Microsoft Office Suite will be beneficial in supporting these tasks. This role requires a self-starter approach with the ability to work independently, but also thrive within a collaborative team environment. The job also includes physical demands such as occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds and flexibility to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet event schedules.

Joining Sodexo Live! as an Event Planner means becoming part of a company that values diversity and equal employment opportunities, providing a supportive environment for all employees regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability status. Working in Alexandria, VA at the USPTO, the successful candidate will contribute to creating impactful events that support one of the most important federal agencies responsible for intellectual property and innovation in the United States. This role is more than just event planning—it is about crafting unforgettable experiences that leave a lasting impression and drive client satisfaction at the highest level.
