The Operations Supervisor role at Encore is pivotal in driving seamless floor operations with a strong emphasis on customer service, staff leadership, and operational efficiencies. As the frontline leader of the technical team, the Operations Supervisor ensures that audiovisual equipment is set up, maintained, and operated according to Encore’s high standards. This position requires managing daily floor activities such as equipment setup, refresh, and removal, along with workflow direction that supports the event’s success. The role also involves collaborating closely with venue management and Workforce to propose and implement operational improvements.
In addition to operational management, the Operations Supervisor upholds Encore’s Service Standards by providing exceptional customer service and forming positive relationships with clients. This leadership role requires ongoing communication with guests, ensuring their needs are met and technical aspects run flawlessly. The position also contributes to staff development by training and mentoring technicians and fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
This role reports directly to the Director of Event Technology (DET), Director of Operations (DOO), or Operations Manager, highlighting its integral place within Encore’s organizational structure. Candidates can expect a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where operational excellence and customer satisfaction are top priorities.
The hourly pay range for the Operations Supervisor position is $20.82 to $27.07, with final compensation influenced by qualifications, experience, location, and other factors such as travel requirements and specific skills. This role may also offer opportunities for overtime, bonuses, and incentives.
Operationally, the position demands physical activity including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally carrying heavier weights in a hotel or warehouse environment. The work schedule includes irregular hours, potential on-call duties, and may cover evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license for relevant positions
- Completion of all required training and certifications within 60 days for external hires
- Ability to meet internal training standards for existing employees
- Adherence to Encore’s appearance guidelines
- Availability for irregular hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Physical ability to perform activities such as standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching above head, grasping
- Compliance with company security and safety measures
- High level of customer service orientation
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
- 3-5 years of audio-visual experience is required
- Knowledge of technical theory
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Experience leading workflow and teams
- Valid driver’s license for positions involving company vehicle operation
- Ability to meet and complete internal and external training and certification requirements within designated timelines
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Organizes the daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh and removal of equipment
- Performs daily floor management including directing workflow of technicians and suggesting operational efficiencies
- Ensures flowsheets are updated and properly completed
- Coordinates communication for event management with the team
- Attends venue meetings such as banquet order meetings and pre/post event conferences
- Provides excellent customer service by exceeding client expectations and maintaining positive relationships
- Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day
- Assists in training technicians on floor activities and operational standards
- Serves as a mentor to new hires and reinforces positive work environment
- Sets up, operates, and breaks down intermediate audiovisual equipment accurately and timely
- Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues promptly
- Ensures security, maintenance, and proper storage of equipment
- Leads team in preventive maintenance and participates in inventory counts
