The role of Event Operations Lead at High Spirits Hospitality is vital to the seamless execution of events, turning carefully planned details into smooth, polished, and memorable experiences. This position can be full-time or part-time, with weekend availability being an essential requirement owing to the nature of the events industry. The Event Operations Lead will be responsible for managing a wide array of tasks that include overseeing event setup, service flow, and breakdown, ensuring guest safety and responsible alcohol service, and leading team members effectively throughout the event cycle. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to address challenges calmly and efficiently as they arise.

The work schedule is flexible and varies according to event bookings, with peak seasons typically from March through May and September through December. Compensation ranges from $17 to $25 an hour depending on the shift and assignment, with opportunities to earn tips on certain shifts. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must successfully pass background checks and drug screening while maintaining compliance with South Carolina Alcohol Server Certificate requirements. Job Duties

  • Own event execution on assigned shifts including setup service flow breakdown and real-time problem solving
  • Own the guest and client experience by leading with professionalism urgency and hospitality
  • Own staff direction on shift including delegation follow-through coaching and holding standards
  • Own guest safety responsible alcohol service and compliance with operational standards across venue spaces bars and event support areas
  • Complete physical event work including setup breakdown resets deep cleaning tasks and maintaining clean polished event spaces
  • Support laundry dishwashing bar breakdown and other back-of-house reset tasks preparing for upcoming events while following standards and regulations
  • Move equipment supplies and event materials between venues keeping storage areas prep spaces and warehouse organized and event-ready
