The Event Operations Coordinator position is a part-time, casual staff role within Yeshiva University’s Communications and Public Affairs department, responsible for supporting the operational execution of university events across multiple campuses. Specifically located at the Wilf Campus in New York City, this role involves hands-on involvement with event setup and breakdown, inventory management, material staging, and on-site logistical support. Holding a flexible work schedule with no more than 19 hours per week, the position is ideal for those who seek a dynamic and engaging work environment alongside academic or other commitments.
In this role, the Event Operations Coordinator plays a critical part in ensuring that event materials, equipment, and vendor requirements are efficiently organized and executed for a wide range of institutional events. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Prior experience supporting events, facilities, hospitality, operations, production, or logistics preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Comfortable performing physically active work, including lifting, moving, and staging event materials
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Job Duties
- Assist with event setup, room preparation, and breakdown for University events across multiple campuses
- Coordinate the staging, movement, and organization of event materials, supplies, signage, furniture, and equipment
- Support on-site event execution and serve as an operational resource for internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Receive, organize, label, store, and distribute event materials before and after programs
- Track and maintain inventory of event supplies, décor, signage, giveaways, and operational equipment
- Support loading, unloading, and transportation of event materials to and from event locations
- Assist with vendor load-in/load-out logistics and ensure vendor operational needs are met on-site
