Job Description

The Event Operations Manager role is a pivotal position within a rapidly growing organization that operates in the demanding event and hospitality industry. This company is dedicated to delivering flawless event experiences by combining operational excellence with creative event management. As a company renowned for its commitment to quality and efficiency, it focuses on providing impeccable service throughout the event lifecycle, from planning and logistics to execution and post-event processes. Their clients range from intimate weddings to large-scale corporate functions, and every detail matters to uphold the company’s high standards.

This company thrives on teamwork, efficiency, and hands-on dedication, nurturing an environment where all team members contribute beyond traditional boundaries to ensure success. Employees are expected to embrace a cooperative attitude, taking ownership of diverse responsibilities to maintain smooth operations. A culture that eschews the mindset of “that’s not my job” prevails here, fostering versatile professionals who actively support multiple facets of the operation.

The Event Operations Manager is entrusted with overseeing all operational aspects of event execution. This full-time position requires availability from Tuesday through Saturday, with Friday and Saturday as mandatory workdays, emphasizing the importance of weekend availability in this role. Employees benefit from a generous compensation package, which includes 100 percent paid health insurance premiums and paid vacation and holiday time off. Given the physically demanding nature of the job, the successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in hands-on event setup activities.

In this dynamic role, the Event Operations Manager acts as the operational backbone for all events, ensuring that setup, staffing, inventory, and logistics run seamlessly. They manage event installations such as the placement of furniture, décor, lighting, and equipment, and take charge of breakdown processes, always ensuring that event setups meet or exceed company standards and client expectations. Crucially, this role requires problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve operational challenges as events unfold.

Inventory management is another core responsibility, encompassing maintaining a well-organized and accurately tracked inventory of furniture, linens, décor, equipment, and supplies. This includes conducting regular audits and ensuring the cleanliness, storage, and labeling of all items. Furthermore, the role involves coordinating routine maintenance and minor repairs of event materials, preserving the quality and safety of the inventory.

Warehouse and storage management duties include organizing inventory systems, maintaining order in loading docks and storage areas, and ensuring that all event materials are properly staged and accessible. Since this is a highly physical role, loading and unloading trucks and preparing equipment for events is a daily expectation, along with ensuring the safe handling of all items.

Staffing coordination falls within the scope of this position, requiring the Event Operations Manager to create and manage schedules for servers and support staff according to the unique demands of each event. Effective communication with the service team guarantees that staffing levels are sufficient to uphold service excellence.

Additionally, the Event Operations Manager monitors the condition of event properties and grounds, ensuring these spaces are visually appealing and fully functional ahead of every event. Coordinating with maintenance teams to address any issues promptly is key to upholding the company’s reputation for pristine venues.

Overall, this role is tailored for a highly organized, resourceful, and hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment. Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities are essential, as is a proactive and team-focused approach to operational challenges. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about event operations who want to be part of a growing, hospitality-centered organization with a strong commitment to quality and teamwork.
