Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3-5 years of event management experience
- prior supervisory experience encouraged
- excellent communication skills
- ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- self-motivated leadership and organizational skills
- basic Microsoft Office skills
- knowledge of public safety and fire regulations
- familiarity with venue-related technology
- flexible work schedule availability
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in a related field
- minimum of 3-5 years experience in event management setting such as stadium, arena, convention center, or public assembly facility
- prior supervisory responsibilities preferred
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- working knowledge of events, fire and public safety regulations
- familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations
- knowledge of audio/visual equipment, electronic systems, and AutoCad related to venues
- able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays
Job Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate logistics for assigned events
- act as liaison for building with all parties and departments involved
- recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate event staff
- contract all event production needs including coordinating with union stagehands, medical, fire, security, audio/visual, licensing, and equipment
- prepare and distribute detailed event resumes, diagrams, staffing requirements, and set-up instructions
- develop and control event budgets, prepare pre-event financial estimates, and coordinate post-event financial settlements
- troubleshoot event preparation and execution ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- ensure all event insurance certificates, licenses, and permits are obtained timely
- coordinate with Finance on payroll, expenses, and documentation
- develop and implement venue event policies, risk management, crowd management, and emergency protocols
- facilitate incident report training
- attend weekly building meetings
- act as facility manager on duty as required
- establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, patrons, and stakeholders
- communicate issues and solutions to executive team
- perform duties with a customer service focus through teamwork and dedication
