The Events Manager role at Oak View Group is a pivotal position designed to oversee the full scope of event management from initial planning to event completion. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role commands a significant level of responsibility ensuring that client standards and contractual obligations are not only met but surpassed. As an Events Manager, the successful candidate will be entrusted with planning, coordinating, and facilitating logistics for various assigned events, acting as the primary liaison among all parties involved including clients, staff, and building departments. They will recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate event staff to guarantee smooth operations. The Events Manager will also handle contracting needs for event production, such as coordinating with union stagehands, medical personnel, security, audio/visual teams, and licensing authorities. Communication remains a key facet of this role, requiring the creation and distribution of detailed event resumes, diagrams, staffing requirements, setup instructions, and post-event summaries.

Budget oversight is another crucial responsibility, requiring the development and control of event budgets including pre-event financial estimates and post-event settlements. The Events Manager will troubleshoot event preparations and oversee operations to ensure setups comply with policies, procedures, and client expectations. They will also confirm that necessary event licenses, permits, and insurance certificates are procured in a timely manner. Coordination with Finance is essential to ensure accurate payroll, expenses, and proper documentation.

Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with various laws, ordinances, regulations, and the development of venue event policies alongside the Director. The manager will implement risk management, crowd management, and emergency protocols, providing training as needed. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
