Job Description

Honest to Goodness (HTG) is a vibrant hospitality-forward restaurant group based in East Nashville, operating three distinctive venues: Butcher & Bee, Fancypants, and Redheaded Stranger. Each restaurant offers a unique dining experience that exemplifies the group's commitment to quality, community connections, and impeccable service. Butcher & Bee, the flagship venue, is renowned for its vegetable-forward Middle Eastern-inspired menu that celebrates bold flavors and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Fancypants offers an elevated fine dining experience with a dinner party atmosphere, blending sophistication with warmth and intimacy. Redheaded Stranger serves as a neighborhood taco shop, bringing a casual, lively environment featuring authentic and creative taco offerings. Honest to Goodness emphasizes a culture rooted in transparency, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for hospitality that starts behind the scenes.

The Events Manager role at Honest to Goodness is a unique and essential position that bridges the gap between private clients and the group's celebrated restaurants. This is a salaried part-time role requiring approximately 4-5 hours of work per day across six days a week, totaling around 30 hours per week. There is also an opportunity to combine this role with other areas of responsibility (AORs) to build a full-time position. The compensation includes a base salary of $40,000 plus 2.0% commission on event sales, reflecting the importance of sales-driven performance in this role. The company offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k with employer matching, parental leave savings match, and dining discounts.

In this position, the Events Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of private events primarily at Butcher & Bee and Fancypants, with some catering events from Redheaded Stranger. The role goes beyond simple coordination by taking ownership of the entire event process from initial inquiry to final event wrap-up and follow-up with clients. As the connective tissue between clients and the restaurant teams, the manager fosters relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and business growth. Key responsibilities include responding promptly to all event inquiries, guiding clients through menu options, venue spaces, and logistics, creating customized proposals, and processing contracts and deposits.

The Events Manager will utilize platforms such as Tripleseat, Resy, and Lightspeed to book and manage events efficiently and maintain up-to-date documentation including banquet event orders (BEOs), floor plans, timelines, menus, and food labels. Leading weekly event briefing meetings and collaborating closely with general managers, chefs, and scheduling managers is a critical part of this position to guarantee flawless event execution and service. Presence on-site during significant events ensures smooth operations and enables immediate problem-solving. Additionally, continual pursuit of outbound sales opportunities is expected to grow the events and catering revenue consistently.

Ideal candidates will possess a natural enthusiasm for sales and hospitality, matching clients' excitement with professionalism and authenticity. They should be experienced in private events, particularly in restaurant or restaurant-adjacent environments, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with event management tools such as Tripleseat and Resy is valuable, as is a genuine curiosity and passion for food and beverage. Honest to Goodness values diversity, equity, and inclusion, focusing on fostering community through food and attention to detail, with an aspiration to create meaningful impacts within their industry and neighborhoods. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, dedicated, and hospitality-obsessed professional to advance their career in a nationally recognized restaurant group with excellent prospects for growth and development.
