The Hyatt Regency in Downtown Greenville is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Event Manager to join their dynamic team. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing and facilitating events within the hotel, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional guest experiences while optimizing hotel revenue. The Event Manager will be responsible for servicing groups passed over from Sales and Catering, ensuring every detail of the event is meticulously planned and executed according to the sales contract. This includes handling deposit schedules, room cut-off dates, block release dates, and rooming list deadlines punctually. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure, and strong coordination skills to work collaboratively across sales, catering, and other hotel departments.

As an Event Manager at Hyatt Greenville, the individual will serve as the point person for coordinating client functions, preparing event documentation, and maintaining flawless communication throughout all event phases—from pre-event planning to execution and post-event follow-up. The role demands proactive problem-solving to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service and back, with a keen eye for recognizing opportunities to enhance events through upselling and added enhancements. Job Duties

  • Responsible for servicing groups turned over from Sales and Catering
  • Reconfirm and adhere to all details in Sales Contract, including deposit schedules, room cut off dates, room block release dates, and rooming list due dates
  • Coordinate arrangements and details for clients' functions
  • Maintain good attention to detail, work well under pressure, and balance time and work with deadlines
  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, hotel departments, and customer
  • Ensure consistent, high-level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of hotel events
  • Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements
  • Maintain effective communication within department
  • Be responsive to training and instruction and apprise management of any concerns, suggestions and ideas
  • Follow through with information distributed to operational departments to ensure proper execution according to meeting planner expectations
