The company has earned a reputation for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, demonstrated by its Great Place to Work certification. This recognition reflects FirstService Residential’s commitment to associate satisfaction, career development, and employee well-being. In addition to competitive salaries, employees benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and retirement plans, as well as ongoing professional training and support.

The Event Manager position, also known as the Lifestyle Director role within FirstService Residential, is a full-time opportunity based primarily in Scottsdale, Arizona, with responsibilities extending to onsite community locations such as Buckeye. This role is integral to the company’s mission to enhance the quality of life for residents by orchestrating dynamic social, recreational, and cultural events. The compensation for this position ranges from $55,000 to $77,000 annually, dependent on factors such as experience, education, and specific job duties. The salary is also influenced by client mandates when applicable.

As an Event Manager at FirstService Residential, you will take charge of planning and executing a variety of community-wide signature events including outdoor movie nights and family-friendly activities designed to foster community engagement year-round. You will develop and manage budgets for all community programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maximizing event impact. Building strong relationships with local businesses and organizations to establish sponsorships and partnerships is a key component of this role, enhancing community resources and event offerings.

Your daily responsibilities will include overseeing the programming and scheduling of community facilities, amenities, and parks, assisting with bookings and rentals, and supporting community clubs and organizations in event coordination. Communication plays a critical role, as you will be tasked with creating and promoting newsletters, public relations, and marketing materials to maximize resident participation and awareness.

Further, as an Event Manager, you will lead the development and promotion of a resident volunteer program, coordinating volunteer activities that contribute to the community’s vibrancy and connectedness. Responsiveness is crucial, with a commitment to return inquiries related to amenities and events within 24 hours, thereby upholding the highest standards of customer service. This role requires a proactive and organized professional capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong interpersonal skills to engage residents and stakeholders alike.

The position demands a minimum of three years’ experience in event coordination or activity promotion, ideally supported by a degree in recreation, hospitality, or communications. Physical requirements include the ability to walk and move throughout community areas, sit and stand for moderate periods, and safely lift or move up to 50 pounds. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening and weekend availability needed for event attendance. Some local travel is required and mileage reimbursement is provided for personal vehicle use.

FirstService Residential offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid sick and vacation time, health savings and flexible spending accounts, company-paid life insurance, supplemental life and disability coverage, accident and critical illness insurance, identity theft protection, legal services, and a 401(k) plan with company match. This role represents an exciting career opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about community involvement and event management within a supportive and well-established organization.
