Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, tourism, marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management within hospitality or tourism industry
  • Proven multitasking ability
  • Strong budgeting and vendor negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, tourism, marketing, or a related field
  • CMP certification is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong budgeting, negotiation, and vendor management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events including conferences, banquets, weddings, and corporate functions
  • Develop event budgets, manage expenditures, and ensure profitability
  • Source and negotiate contracts with vendors including caterers, decorators, AV technicians, and entertainment
  • Develop event timelines and manage all logistical aspects ensuring smooth execution on event days
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure event objectives are met
  • Coordinate with venue staff, catering teams, and other on-site personnel to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Oversee event setup, breakdown, and manage on-site staff
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare reports on event success
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in event management
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to foster repeat business and referrals
