Job Description

Saphire Event Group is a premier event planning and hospitality company specializing in creating unforgettable experiences for a wide range of occasions, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and milestone celebrations. With a reputation for excellence and meticulous attention to detail, Saphire Event Group prides itself on delivering flawless events that delight clients and guests alike. The company operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where creativity, leadership, and exceptional customer service are paramount. Recognized for a collaborative culture that values teamwork and professionalism, Saphire Event Group continuously strives to exceed expectations through personalized service and expert event management.

The role of Event Manager at Saphire Event Group is an exciting opportunity for professionals who thrive in vibrant, fast-moving event settings and are passionate about hospitality. As an Event Manager, you will take a leadership position, overseeing event execution from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include partnering closely with Event Producers and the talented in-house Culinary team to ensure every event runs smoothly and exceeds client expectations. This part-time, on-call position offers a flexible schedule tailored around event bookings, with peak activity from April through November. Shifts vary based on event type, guest count, and timing, with scheduling managed through an online employee system.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind the flawless operation of events, leading and supervising event staff such as servers and bartenders. Your expertise will be central in reviewing and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with precision, ensuring all details are accurately managed. You will oversee all pre-event preparations, including coordinating equipment, supplies, and staffing assignments. Serving as a key trainer, you will conduct pre-meal menu trainings focused on delivering service excellence. Your leadership will extend to managing bar operations, including adherence to TIPS certification requirements and overseeing POS system procedures.

Collaboration and communication will be crucial as you work alongside Event Producers and Operations leadership to address client needs promptly and professionally. Your role encompasses managing event setup, real-time execution, and post-event breakdown activities, as well as completing recaps and closing procedures. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, guests, and vendors will be a vital part of your duties, further enhancing the high standards and reputation of Saphire Event Group.

This role demands a seasoned hospitality professional with proven experience managing teams, a strong leadership presence, and exceptional attention to detail. A thorough knowledge of bar operations, POS systems, and familiarity with Caterease software and BEO execution are important for success. Candidates must also hold TIPS certification and be prepared to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. If you are passionate about delivering extraordinary events, enjoy leading dedicated teams, and are energized by the fast-paced nature of live events, Saphire Event Group invites you to join their professional and vibrant team where your impact will be both significant and rewarding.
