Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in event coordination or management
- Ability to supervise event staff and manage event logistics
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Writing skills sufficient for reports and event documentation
- Must be 18 years or older
- Background check clearance
- Valid California Driver's License preferred
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience supervising installation and strike of event equipment
- Excellent communication and professional language skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Knowledge of event management principles including budgeting and vendor relations
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer service
- Flexible availability including early mornings, late evenings, weekends
- Writing skills for clear reporting
- Familiarity with UCLA facilities
- Experience working on a college or university campus
- Knowledge of university policies on campus facility use
- Experience with professional film or television productions
- Experience working with students and student organizations
Job Duties
- Coordinate public and private events, student film shoots, and related activities
- Manage customer service, budget and contract development, and event planning processes
- Execute billing and audit procedures for internal and external events
- Oversee film permit issuance and equipment rental orders
- Provide on-site coordination and supervision of event production
- Supervise student support staff and temporary event staff
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures regarding event management
