The role of Event Designer is integral to our client-centric approach. As an Event Designer, you will be the primary liaison between our clients and operational teams, responsible for evaluating event requirements and helping clients select appropriate rental items. This full-time, sales-oriented position hinges on building strong relationships through inbound calls, emails, and showroom appointments. You will follow a templated sales process that spans from the initial interaction to preparing orders for events. This role requires a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills to ensure all orders are accurate and logistics are thoroughly planned. The Event Designer operates as “the expert” in helping clients navigate their event needs, offering recommendations and upselling strategically to enhance the event experience.
With a base salary starting at $50,000 per year dependent on experience, plus an additional uncapped commission for new accounts and quarterly bonuses that can total up to $12,000 annually for meeting milestones set by the Director of Sales, this role offers substantial earning potential. Job Requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service and experience networking and building client relationships
- Ability to work full-time Monday to Friday with up to 2 Saturdays per month in the showroom
- Enjoy selling and reaching sales goals
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and repetitive environment
- Friendly and able to get along well with others
- Strong attention to detail
- Open to coaching and eager to learn and adapt
Job Qualifications
- 2-4 years of account representative or inbound sales experience preferably in hospitality
- Experience with any CRM software
- Proven track record of making sales deals
- Effective communication skills to motivate and respond to client needs
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to receive coaching and feedback with a positive attitude
- Detail oriented with a focus on order accuracy
Job Duties
- Evaluate and anticipate client's event requirements to determine appropriate rental needs and make suggestions and recommendations as the expert
- Input requested rental items and client info into POR (Point of Rental computer program) and ensure all necessary logistics and details are accurate
- Work as an intermediary between the client and the operations team, providing the inventory and operations teams with all the necessary information for successful execution of the events
- Process credit card payments
- Conduct in-person showroom appointments
- Follow the developed sales process including up-selling, how to follow up, Zendesk chat best practices
- Attend sales coaching sessions with sales director to improve your skills
- Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales metrics points including total sales and sales activities
