With a network of over 2,000 restaurants and operations in more than 20 major US cities, Fooda brings fresh, diverse lunch options directly to office buildings and companies. Each Fooda location learns from a different restaurant daily, serving chef-curated menus that keep the workplace meal experience exciting and varied. Recognized by employees as a top company perk, Fooda combines technology with a passion for food to support local restaurants and satisfy hungry workers throughout their busy days.
Currently, Fooda is recruiting a part-time Event Coordinator for its Los Angeles market. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality or event coordination who want to expand their food service experience. The Event Coordinator will support a variety of Fooda events by ensuring smooth event operations and exceptional customer experiences on-site. This includes setting up and tearing down event sites, maintaining cleanliness and equipment, troubleshooting issues related to orders or deliveries, and using Fooda's technology to manage operations efficiently. Additionally, the coordinator will conduct audits to guarantee consistent, high-quality restaurant event setups, communicate promptly with customers for immediate problem resolution, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building positive customer relationships, and has the ability to think quickly and resourcefully under pressure. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an organized disposition are essential for success in this role. Furthermore, familiarity with the local Los Angeles area and comfortable mobility using a personal vehicle is crucial, as the person will travel to multiple sites regularly. This is a stable part-time role offering flexibility with hours typically ranging between 15 to 25 hours a week, including critical times in the evenings and Saturdays.
By joining Fooda as an Event Coordinator, candidates gain the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that prioritizes employee enjoyment and community engagement through food. Fooda offers competitive wages, a supportive work environment, and the chance to collaborate with a growing network of local restaurants. This role not only provides hands-on experience in event coordination and hospitality but also opens doors to career advancement and networking opportunities within the vibrant food service industry. Employees also benefit from paid time off, a 401k retirement savings plan with company match, and the distinctive perk of free food. Fooda’s commitment to quality, technology, and community makes it a unique and rewarding place to work for professionals passionate about people and food.
