The Event Coordinator / Development Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity within Kelly to work directly in-office supporting fundraising and event planning initiatives. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage all donor communications and inquiries to secure funding critical to organizational success. This includes collaborating closely with volunteer planning committees to recruit teams, oversee event logistics, support marketing efforts, and assist in event operations. The coordinator will provide essential administrative support such as updating communications, maintaining website content, and managing general office functions.

Key duties also involve managing material inventory by ordering supplies and tracking deliveries, as well as processing confidential donations, preparing gift acknowledgments, and maintaining data integrity through accurate reporting. The role includes supervising and training volunteers, coordinating direct mail campaigns, donor cultivation activities, recognition efforts, as well as special events. Researching new prospects and networking opportunities to foster event growth is an integral part of the position. The coordinator plays a vital role in helping maintain a positive organizational climate that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff and volunteers.

Ideal candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills, showcasing proficiency in English grammar and spelling, and the ability to produce precise business correspondence. Additionally, effective interpersonal and customer service skills are important to foster cooperation and maintain professionalism in interactions both in-person and over the phone. While bilingual Spanish-English skills are a plus, reliability, attention to detail, and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The position is not remote; it requires in-office presence to coordinate activities successfully. Educational preferences include a bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in related roles. Kelly supports employees with a comprehensive range of benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, telemedicine, life and accident insurance, disability plans, legal assistance, retirement savings, holiday and sick leave pay, and transit spending accounts. These benefits underscore Kelly’s commitment to honoring and supporting its workforce through all avenues.

This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and excel in team environments.
