Job Description
The Monthly Meeting Event Coordinator position is a key role within an established organization hosting regular breakfast meetings in downtown Minneapolis. The meetings take place monthly from September through April, providing a valuable networking and learning opportunity for approximately 60 participants each session. Hosting these events at 625 South 4th Street, Minneapolis, this role demands an individual who is not just organized and reliable, but also attentive to detail to ensure smooth event execution. The organization prides itself on creating an inviting and efficiently run gathering where attendees and speakers can comfortably engage and connect. This part-time position involves approximately 10 to 15 hours of commitment each month, specifically on the second Thursday from February to October 2026, between 7:30 and 10:30 AM.
The coordinator will be entrusted with coordinating catering services, overseeing timely deliveries, and managing the setup of food along with event materials including name tags and agendas. This event is built on punctuality and precision; hence, the coordinator’s role is critical in welcoming guests with a friendly demeanor, checking in participants smoothly, and managing light cleanup post-event. The coordinator will interface directly with established vendors such as Panera, Brueggers, and Starbucks to organize breakfast and coffee services with the goal to ensure a seamless dining experience for all attendees. On the day of the event, arriving early to assist delivery drivers and prepare the dining space is essential. Beyond logistics, the role has a social component through greeting attendees and speakers, helping to set a warm, professional tone.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and values punctuality and dependability. The monthly breakfast meeting is a cherished event within the community, requiring a coordinator who is friendly and able to foster a welcoming atmosphere. This role is perfect for an individual who enjoys event coordination in a smaller-scale but meaningful setting, combines strong organizational talents with interpersonal skills, and values contributing to professional networking and community building. The position also offers a chance to gain valuable event management experience in a friendly and supportive environment, making it an excellent fit for someone looking to build or expand their career in event coordination.
