The Event Chef role at Landmark Event Co. is a pivotal position responsible for delivering high-quality culinary experiences during live events. This part-time, hourly position pays $30.00 per hour and involves working event-based shifts. Unlike traditional restaurant chef roles, the Event Chef focuses on event production, which demands a unique blend of food preparation skills, on-the-spot problem solving, and leadership in dynamic, time-sensitive settings. The position requires the chef to manage onsite food preparation, finishing, plating, and ensuring impeccable presentation and consistency throughout each event. The Event Chef oversees the entire kitchen flow during service and coordinates closely with Event Leads, Planners, and Operations to align timing and ensure smooth execution of the culinary components of each event.
The role is fundamentally about adaptability and precision under pressure. The Event Chef must be able to maintain rigorous food safety and sanitation standards while monitoring inventory and communicating supply needs effectively. They must be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules dictate. Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience
- Experience in banquet, catering, or high-volume production environments
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to execute under time-sensitive conditions
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Washington State Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain

Job Duties
- Execute menu items according to established recipes, plating standards, and timelines
- Oversee event kitchen setup, production flow, and breakdown
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency throughout service
- Coordinate with Event Leads, Planners, and Operations to align timing and service execution
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs
- Adapt quickly to real-time changes in guest counts, timing, or service flow
- Support offsite catering production when assigned
