The Event Bartender role at Deborah Miller Catering & Events is a dynamic and critical position responsible for delivering immediate and attentive service to guests during events. Reporting to the Event Captain, the Event Bartender collaborates closely with the onsite Events Team to ensure all events meet the client’s standards and the company's protocols. The role involves setting up and breaking down bar areas, serving a variety of beverages including wine, beer, spirits, and specialty cocktails, and maintaining a visually appealing and functional bar design. This position requires not only technical knowledge of beverages and bartending but also a high level of customer service, efficiency, and friendliness. The Event Bartender is expected to uphold the company's service standards, inspire team members, and contribute to a smooth execution of off-premise events. Employees in this role must be adaptable, able to work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. Paying between $25 and $35 per hour with part-time hours ranging from 20 to 30 hours a week, this role offers a great opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and event service to grow within a reputable and supportive company. Job Requirements

  • Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English

  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk extensively for 8-10 hours
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules

  • Organized and able to take and follow directions
  • Compliant with company procedures and city and state laws

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience as an event server in catering or similar business
  • Strong understanding of service and operations related to catering
  • Proficiency in bussing, passing food, table service, expediting, bartending
  • Knowledge of off-premise event logistics and requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of diverse cuisine and beverage including beer, wine, and spirits

Job Duties

  • Set up and break down bar areas
  • Serve a variety of beverages including wine, beer, spirits, and specialty cocktails
  • Work collaboratively with Event Captains and onsite Events Team to ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintain visually appealing and functional bar design
