Job Description

Talent Solutions is a reputable staffing and workforce solutions provider that connects talented professionals with leading companies worldwide. Acting as the employer of record for this specific contract role, Talent Solutions facilitates the delivery of exceptional services to Hilton, one of the most prominent global hospitality brands. With a strong focus on quality staffing solutions, Talent Solutions enables companies like Hilton to achieve their operational goals efficiently and effectively through highly skilled contract workers. This role is specifically designed to support Hilton's Supply Management division and offers a remote work arrangement of 20 hours per week, ideally suited for a candidate based in Dallas, TX. It represents a contract opportunity rather than permanent employment with Hilton, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by Talent Solutions and not Hilton, thus not eligible for Hilton benefits. Salary details are typically discussed during the hiring process.

Hilton Supply Management (HSM) is recognized as the largest global hospitality-focused supply chain and procurement organization, wielding a significant influence with a $13 billion spend and collaborating with over 3,500 suppliers worldwide. This dynamic and fast-paced environment demands excellence, innovation, and strategic thinking to deliver world-class experiences to Hilton's customers and stakeholders. The current opening is for an Event and Conference Coordinator to lead, strategize, and execute HSM's event and conference initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with multiple internal teams including HSM Sales and Service, Brand Strategy, and Communications to ensure the flawless delivery of all events.

The coordinator will be responsible for managing everything from large-scale sponsorships facilitated through external agencies to the detailed logistics of smaller, more intimate corporate events. By overseeing event budgets, managing billing and invoicing, and ensuring all activities stay within financial parameters, this position plays a crucial role in maximizing HSM's investment in customer engagement opportunities. Additionally, the role involves creating impactful event overview presentations for senior leadership and maintaining consistent communication with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the event lifecycle.

A key aspect of this position is creative collaboration with brand strategists and communication managers to develop unique branding, marketing materials, and pre/post-event communication plans that resonate with Hilton's global audience. The coordinator also provides crucial support for conference ancillary events such as breakout sessions and customer dinners, thereby enriching the overall event experience.

Candidates for this role should be adept self-starters who demonstrate a visionary mindset capable of balancing high-level strategic planning with hands-on, detailed execution. Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail are essential to juggle multiple concurrent events effectively. Problem-solving ability coupled with sound judgment will help the coordinator navigate challenges and deliver optimum solutions with professionalism and integrity, maintaining Hilton's esteemed reputation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and executive presence are required to interact confidently with senior leadership and top customers.

Experience-wise, the ideal candidate will have at least one year in event or conference management relating to sizable gatherings of 500 attendees or more, with corporate events experience preferred. Exposure to the hospitality or travel industry, vendor and external agency management, and the capacity to travel to event venues add valuable qualifications to the profile.

Ultimately, this contract opportunity offers a chance to make a significant impact within a globally recognized hospitality powerhouse. It is perfect for driven, detail-oriented event professionals eager to showcase their talent, creativity, and operational excellence while contributing meaningfully to Hilton Supply Management's continued success and remarkable customer engagement efforts.
