The Evening Supervisor Operations role at SkyChefs, based near Pittsburgh International Airport, is pivotal to ensuring smooth dispatch and delivery operations in the airline catering division. This position is responsible for overseeing the evening shift, which operates from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, managing the PM airline catering drivers and dispatch operations. The role demands a results-driven individual committed to maintaining the highest safety and security standards while ensuring efficient and timely service delivery. The Evening Supervisor is also expected to lead continuous improvement efforts, support customer service excellence, and enforce company policies and regulatory compliance. This supervisory role requires managing day-to-day operational activities, including driver scheduling, route coordination, and addressing operational challenges proactively. The successful candidate will foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork, motivating the employees to excel in a dynamic and operationally complex environment. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in production manufacturing or operations environment
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance SIDA badge
  • Strong operational leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of airline catering transportation dispatch logistics operations preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Customer service oriented with proactive issue resolution
  • Experience with operational systems and reporting tools

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee PM airline catering drivers including dispatch operations and daily route coordination
  • Verify drivers follow all SOPs safety standards and operational procedures
  • Monitor and drive on-time performance to ensure service level expectations are met
  • Maintain proper driver scheduling staffing coverage and shift compliance
  • Ensure catering and delivery of all flights are accurate and timely according to standards
  • Lead daily team huddles to communicate goals priorities and performance expectations
  • Address operational issues including gate changes missing items service recovery and customer callbacks
