We are currently seeking a dedicated Evening Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming, organized, and secure reception area during the evening hours. As the first point of contact for visitors and staff, the Evening Receptionist plays a vital role in supporting the overall operations of the facility by performing clerical tasks according to established procedures and the directions of the supervisor. The position requires a strong commitment to professionalism, customer service, and teamwork, as well as the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

The Evening Receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing visitors, ensuring security protocols are followed, and managing communication systems effectively. This includes notifying appropriate personnel upon visitor arrival, operating the telecommunications system, maintaining visitor logs, and issuing badges to uphold security standards. The role further involves assisting patients, families, and medical staff by answering inquiries and providing accurate information or referring questions as needed. A clean and safe reception area must be maintained at all times, contributing to the overall environment of the facility.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work harmoniously with others, display patience and a positive attitude, and handle various situations tactfully. Computer proficiency, including typing and data entry skills, is essential, along with knowledge of administrative practices and telephone switchboard operation. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must be supportive team member and example of teamwork

  • Must possess ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public
  • Must possess typing speed of 45 words per minute and use 10-key calculator
  • Must be able to manage phone switchboard operations systematically
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and data entry
  • Must know administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Must possess ability and willingness to work harmoniously with others
  • Must display patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
  • Must not pose direct threat to health or safety of others
  • Must be able to complete tasks assigned by administrator or designee

Job Duties
