Evening Host/Hostess

We are currently seeking a diligent and customer-oriented Host or Hostess to join our front-of-house team and contribute significantly to the overall excellence of our restaurant. This role involves welcoming guests as they arrive, ensuring smooth seating arrangements, managing reservations and walk-in customers efficiently, and maintaining an organized front of the house. The ideal candidate is highly organized, friendly, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. They should possess excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, to provide customers with a seamless and pleasant arrival experience.

This position demands a positive attitude and a strong ability to work under pressure while engaging with guests and team members alike. Knowledge of the restaurant's menu is essential to assist customers effectively and to communicate any necessary information to other staff members. The Host or Hostess must be confident in managing the reservation list, assigning tables appropriately, and handling queries and potential complaints with professionalism and tact.

Furthermore, the role includes processing take-out orders, cash handling, and occasionally supporting other restaurant positions when needed. The ability to stand for prolonged periods and operate a point-of-sale system accurately are important aspects of this job. While previous experience in the restaurant industry is advantageous, it is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who want to grow their careers in hospitality.
