Job Description
Kent Kwik is a well-established convenience store chain that has been serving communities for nearly 65 years. The brand is known for its friendly service, great convenience, and commitment to providing quality products at competitive prices. Operating in multiple states including Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, Kent Kwik has built a strong reputation for not just selling essential goods and fuel but for fostering a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and cared for. As part of the Kent Companies, Kent Kwik emphasizes the importance of its team members, recognizing that their dedication and positive attitude are key drivers behind the company’s ongoing success and growth. The company embraces an inclusive workplace with opportunities for long-term careers, professional growth, and advancement from within. Kent Kwik offers both full-time and part-time employment, making it an ideal place for candidates seeking flexible scheduling options that accommodate school, second jobs, or other personal commitments. Starting pay is competitive, ranging from $13.00 to $16.00 per hour, ensuring employees are rewarded fairly for their efforts. Scheduled shifts primarily include evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and holiday hours as necessary, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing excellent service whenever customers need it.
As a Team Member at Kent Kwik, you will play an essential role in creating a positive customer experience by being the friendly face that welcomes and assists guests throughout their visit. Your responsibility extends beyond just sales; you will actively contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting store environment. This position requires multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to keep operations running smoothly. Daily duties include operating the cash register and gas console accurately to process transactions involving cash, credit, and other payment methods. You will also ensure that merchandise is well-stocked, properly priced, and rotated to maintain freshness, especially for perishable products. Receiving and organizing deliveries, complying with all laws and company policies — especially those governing alcohol and tobacco sales — form part of your essential responsibilities. Kent Kwik values dependability, positive attitudes, and a guest-service focus. Candidates must be comfortable with physical aspects of the job such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced retail setting. The company is committed to employee development, offering paid training, bonus opportunities, and tuition reimbursement up to $3,000 annually. Benefits like free health insurance for eligible Team Members, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, holiday pay, and a 401(k) plan with company matching make Kent Kwik a competitive employer in the retail convenience sector. Joining Kent Kwik means becoming part of a culture that supports growth, offers flexibility, and recognizes the vital role every Team Member plays in serving the community and achieving company goals.
