This role, the Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Manager, is a leadership position that reports directly to the Director of Emergency Services. The ER RN Manager works closely with the ED Medical Director and is supported by a team of clinical educators, experienced charge nurses, informatics, and staffing resources. This position leads a dynamic nursing team and collaborates with a diverse interdisciplinary group including physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, case management, respiratory therapy, and social work professionals. The focus is on maintaining a culture that values respect, autonomy, and clear communication to provide the best possible patient outcomes. The ER RN Manager plays a critical role in guiding the nursing staff through the challenges of a busy Emergency Department, ensuring high standards of care, supporting professional development, and fostering a positive work environment.

Job Requirements
- Current RN licensure
- Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department or similar high-acuity setting
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Effective communication skills
- Familiarity with clinical education and quality improvement processes
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety and clinical excellence
Job Qualifications
- Registered nurse licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous leadership experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of trauma, stroke, cardiac, and sepsis protocols
- Proficiency with advanced clinical technologies and virtual nursing platforms
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and nursing professionalism
Job Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department nursing staff
- Collaborate with the ED Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
- Manage trauma and stroke activations along with cardiac and sepsis pathways
- Support nursing staff through mentorship, education, and performance evaluations
- Implement evidence-based practices and shared governance initiatives
- Coordinate virtual nursing support and point-of-care advanced imaging workflows
- Facilitate communication among nursing, physicians, pharmacy, case management, respiratory therapy, and social work teams
