The Kitchen Staff position at Best Pizza & Brew plays a crucial role in supporting the restaurant's culinary team. Reporting directly to the General and Kitchen Managers, the individual in this role will focus on producing high-quality food items, especially pizzas, using precise preparation and cooking methods. This role is designed for those who thrive in fast-paced kitchen settings, embrace teamwork, and hold a passion for food preparation and customer satisfaction. The Kitchen Staff is responsible for preparing dough, making sauces, chopping toppings, baking pizzas, and ensuring the entire food preparation area adheres to strict cleanliness and safety standards. Employees are expected to execute their primary tasks efficiently and assist teammates when necessary, ensuring smooth kitchen operations throughout their shift. Job Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience in a fast paced restaurant setting
  • Experience as a pizza maker is a plus
  • Possess a service-oriented mindset
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn sanitation and workplace safety regulations
  • Basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques and cooking procedures
  • Previous experience in hospitality and service industry is a plus
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize work in a busy environment
  • Possess and maintain all appropriate certifications such as Food Handlers Card
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a must

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Bake pizza and prepare related ingredients such as dough and sauce
  • Chop toppings including meats and vegetables
  • Prepare batches of food to order or keep warm until sold
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers
  • Cook food according to order instructions and verify quality and quantity
  • Multitask by cooking multiple orders simultaneously
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils
  • Monitor food inventory and clean cooking stations
  • Maintain sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards in food preparation areas
  • Follow proper cleaning and handwashing standards
  • Perform additional duties such as deep cleaning tasks as assigned
