The Environmental Services Department at Children's Minnesota is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients, families, and staff. This department is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all hospital areas in accordance with stringent facility standards and infection control protocols. Additionally, the team manages infectious and solid waste, oversees moves and set-ups, handles used equipment, participates in recycling initiatives, controls pest management, and maintains various environmental components. The role of Environmental Services Worker involves performing daily cleaning tasks across various hospital areas including patient and resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and clinic spaces. Candidates typically will have at least six months of general housekeeping experience preferred, alongside required customer service experience. This role demands effective communication skills to interact with diverse patient and family populations respectfully and professionally. Environmental Services Workers must demonstrate excellent customer service abilities and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment utilizing good judgment to complete assignments efficiently.
