Efficient floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance is an essential part of this role to ensure all flooring remains in pristine condition. Restocking of essential supplies like paper products and hand sanitizers is also a critical responsibility, ensuring consistent availability throughout the facility.
This position demands strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within fast-paced healthcare environments. Job Requirements
- prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or commercial settings
- hospital experience is a plus
- knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to environmental services and cleaning practices
- experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication skills
- physical stamina to perform duties involving standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies or equipment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, public areas, and clinical spaces using approved cleaning agents and techniques
- maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet care
- restock supplies such as paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials
- follow established safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- properly dispose of waste materials according to sanitation standards and hospital policies
- use commercial cleaning equipment effectively while maintaining operation and safety standards
