This commitment is reflected in their mission to do great things for their employees, partners, communities, and the planet. Aramark Healthcare specifically provides integrated food and support services to healthcare facilities, ensuring environments that promote well-being, safety, and operational efficiency.
The Environmental Services (EVS) Director position at Aramark Healthcare offers a unique leadership opportunity based in Juneau, Alaska, serving the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) and multiple remote clinics in the region. This position is pivotal in managing and overseeing all facets of cleaning, sanitizing, and waste removal within healthcare facilities spread across both urban and remote settings. The EVS Director is responsible for strategic planning, operational leadership, and ensuring compliance with stringent health, safety, and regulatory standards. This role not only guides daily custodial and housekeeping activities but also champions service excellence by fostering strong partnerships with clients, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across all EVS functions.
The EVS Director leads a geographically dispersed team operating out of various medical office buildings and clinics across Juneau and surrounding villages, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and effective communication. The role demands proficiency in managing multi-site operations, addressing the unique challenges posed by remote locations while ensuring consistent quality and safety standards. Leadership responsibilities extend to coaching and developing staff, implementing safety protocols, managing budgets, and leveraging data analytics to optimize productivity and financial performance.
Aramark supports the professional growth of its leaders by offering relocation assistance for qualified candidates and encouraging a culture where new skills are developed, and contributions are recognized. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of leadership experience in environmental services or custodial operations, with a proven ability to manage remote teams and deliver outstanding client service in healthcare settings. This position provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on healthcare facility operations, employee engagement, and ultimately, patient and community safety and satisfaction.
