Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 6 months experience in Perioperative Care Unit as EVS tech or direct patient care
- knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security policies
- adherence to ICARE values and respectful behavior
- ability to communicate effectively using AIDET
- ability to work safely and report hazards
- compliance with infection control policies
- availability to work evening shifts
- full-time employment status
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months experience in the Perioperative Care Unit as an EVS tech or direct patient care
- ability to use a keyboard for documentation
- knowledge of hospital policies and procedures including HIPAA
- effective communication skills using AIDET method
- demonstrated commitment to ICARE values
Job Duties
- Completes daily cleaning of rooms including washing stretchers for surgical patients
- cleans general work spaces on the Unit
- cleans isolation rooms between patients
- stocks patient rooms
- cleans equipment and documents daily
- performs daily terminal cleaning of patient bays and patient care areas
- changes curtains as scheduled and as needed
- transports patients
- distributes oxygen tanks in department
- reports to manager or charge RN
