The Perioperative Care Unit EVS Technician role is a full-time position based at Sparrow Hospital. The position involves performing crucial cleaning and sanitization duties within the Perioperative Care Unit to ensure a sterile, safe, and welcoming environment for surgical patients. This role is vital in supporting the healthcare team by maintaining cleanliness standards, reducing infection risks, and contributing to a smooth surgical workflow. The EVS Technician is also responsible for occasional patient transport duties, aiding in the overall patient care process. Job Duties
- Completes daily cleaning of rooms including washing stretchers for surgical patients
- cleans general work spaces on the Unit
- cleans isolation rooms between patients
- stocks patient rooms
- cleans equipment and documents daily
- performs daily terminal cleaning of patient bays and patient care areas
- changes curtains as scheduled and as needed
- transports patients
- distributes oxygen tanks in department
- reports to manager or charge RN
