Job Description

Metropoltian Behavioral Health, a UHS Facility, is a newly established 144-bed behavioral health hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. This modern facility offers a wide range of specialty programs designed to serve diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and older adults. It is focused on delivering behavioral health assessments around the clock and addressing co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders, making it a vital resource within the community for those in need of specialized care. Alongside inpatient services, the hospital supports a robust outpatient program that employs group, family, and individual therapy to foster recovery and mental well-being.

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), the parent organization of Metropoltian Behavioral Health, is one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers, boasting a network that includes 28 acute care hospitals, 331 behavioral health facilities, and 60 outpatient centers across 39 U.S. states and territories, as well as in the United Kingdom. Founded as a Fortune 500 corporation, UHS is renowned for its commitment to high-quality healthcare services and continuous innovation in the medical field. The organization prides itself on fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment that promotes equal employment opportunities for all.

The Environmental Services/Housekeeper role at Metropoltian Behavioral Health is a full-time position with scheduled hours from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., which includes every other weekend and holiday rotations, as well as the potential for overtime and flexible working hours. This position is crucial in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout the hospital, which is vital for both patient care and staff efficiency. The housekeeper is responsible for various custodial duties that ensure the hospital adheres to both internal safety standards and regulatory compliance. This includes routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, and sanitizing common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and patient zones to uphold an optimal environment conducive to health and healing.

The role demands attention to detail and the ability to perform minor repairs, contributing to the overall upkeep and appearance of the healthcare facility. The housekeeper’s work directly supports the hospital’s mission by providing a hygienic setting that minimizes risks of infection and enhances the therapeutic atmosphere necessary for patient recovery. Working independently with minimal supervision, the Environmental Services/Housekeeper plays a pivotal role in daily hospital operations.

Those employed in this position will enjoy competitive compensation and generous paid time off. They will also benefit from excellent medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans, a 401(k) plan with company match, as well as participation in unique programs such as RN Loan Forgiveness and SoFi Student Loan Refinancing.
