Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-6 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or secure DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move freight
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-6 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Must be 21 or older
- Meet all state licensing or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move product cases of varying weight
Job Duties
- Attend and successfully complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program
- Ride-with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and complete required paperwork
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes
- Unload products, perform damage control checks, verify delivery with customers and collect payments where required
- Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are secured at all times
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and log according to regulations
- Perform housekeeping duties and secure equipment at end of shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
