The current opening at Spectrum Retirement Communities is for a part-time Activity Assistant position available on Saturdays and Sundays in an interim capacity. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the development, planning, and implementation of various activities and events designed to engage residents and enrich their daily experiences. The Activity Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the creation of monthly event calendars, coordinating performances, organizing seminars, and managing resources such as the resident library. Additionally, this position requires providing transportation support by driving residents to events and assisting them in safely entering and exiting community vehicles. Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high level of organization, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean motor vehicle record
- At least 3 years of driving experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, family members, and other team members
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and professional
- Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at one time
- Strong customer service skills

Job Duties
- Assisting the development, planning, implementation, the execution of the activities for residents
- Assisting in the development of the monthly calendar, procuring performers, providing seminars, and maintaining the resident library
- Driving residents to events
- Assisting residents to enter and exit the community vehicle
- Supporting the coordination of social and recreational programs
- Communicating effectively with residents, family members, and team members
- Ensuring safety and comfort of residents during activities and outings
