Job Description

Shamrock Foods Company is a privately-held, family-owned and operated Forbes 500 company that has been an innovator in the food industry since its founding in Arizona in 1922. Known for its commitment to putting people first, including associates, customers, and the families they serve nationwide, Shamrock Foods has built a reputation based on the founding family’s motto: 'treat associates like family and customers like friends.' As a leader in food manufacturing and distribution, Shamrock Foods Company offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where employees have access to comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and continued education.

The role of Executive Chef at Shamrock Foods is a critical leadership position located at the corporate office, responsible for directing all culinary operations. The Executive Chef leads the planning, preparation, and execution of meals that uphold the highest standards of quality for the company’s staff, executive meetings, and special corporate events. This position serves as both the culinary visionary and an ambassador of the brand, working closely with internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to develop innovative menu concepts that highlight Shamrock’s products and meet business objectives. In addition to day-to-day kitchen management, this role involves designing engaging cooking demonstrations, both live and virtual, that effectively showcase culinary techniques and product applications to customers, vendors, and internal teams alike.

Beyond kitchen operations, the Executive Chef ensures excellence in food quality, presentation, and the overall dining experience, while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations. Responsibilities include inventory management, food cost control, and equipment maintenance, which are vital for efficient and effective culinary services. The role requires a forward-thinking approach to menu development that captures current food trends and integrates new ingredients and techniques to drive innovation and differentiate Shamrock Foods in the competitive market.

In addition to culinary expertise, the Executive Chef will lead, train, and support culinary staff, cultivating a collaborative and professional kitchen environment that emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement. The position demands strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and build lasting relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Occasional travel is required to support customer visits, trade shows, and corporate events, enhancing customer engagement and business growth.

Shamrock Foods Company prizes an ethical workforce and is an Equal Opportunity Employer that provides a diverse and inclusive workplace. The company offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including major health insurance coverage, a 401(k) savings plan, profit sharing, paid time off, and wellness programs, supporting employees’ well-being and financial security. As an Executive Chef with Shamrock Foods, you will be part of a legacy of culinary excellence and innovation, contributing to a company that values quality, creativity, and respect for its people.
