We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our facility maintenance team at The Camby. In this vital leadership role, the Engineering Manager will oversee the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of the property’s systems and infrastructure. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background who can drive operational excellence and ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. The Engineering Manager will manage a skilled team of maintenance professionals, ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, refrigeration units, and emergency maintenance protocols.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hotel or institutional HVAC systems, refrigeration, and preventive maintenance, coupled with proven management or supervisory experience. They will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in basic administrative and computer skills, and hold relevant certifications or journeyman-level expertise. Job Requirements
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- hotel, institutional, HVAC systems experience of 3-4 years preferred
- refrigeration, HVAC certification or journeyman level experience
- previous management or supervisory experience of 3-5 years
- working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, emergency, preventative maintenance systems and related disciplines
- basic computer skills, administrative skills
- meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
- ability to communicate effectively with public and employees
- valid driver’s license preferred
