Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- effective communication skills
- ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance
- ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders
- license or certification in refrigeration or electrical earned or in progress
- universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- must meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- certificate in two-year technical diploma program for HVAC/refrigeration
- extensive experience and training in general maintenance including advanced repairs, electrical or refrigeration
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- valid driver’s license
- license or certification in refrigeration or electrical earned or in progress
- universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- thorough knowledge of building systems, emergency response, and building documentation
- advanced engineering operations skills and mechanical ability
- proficiency in maintenance computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management
Job Duties
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment including cleaning and lubrication
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
